Grants for Arts Projects (GAP) is the NEA’s largest grant program for organizations, providing expansive funding opportunities to strengthen the nation’s arts and culture ecosystem across a wide range of artistic disciplines. Through project-based funding, the program supports opportunities to elevate artists and designers as integral and essential to a healthy and vibrant society, celebrate the nation’s creativity and/or cultural heritage, facilitate cross-sector collaborations that center the arts at the intersection of other disciplines, and support arts and design projects with a focus on advancing the health and well-being of individuals and communities.
Application deadlines are February 13 and July 10, 2025, for projects taking place in 2026. Please note, the February 2025 deadline is the only opportunity to apply for 2026 Design funding.
Updated guidelines will be posted in mid-December – check the Grants for Arts Projects page for details.
